PARK FALLS, Wis. (WCQM) – After nearly four years of construction, Marshfield Medical Center, known to most as Marshfield Clinic, in Park Falls announced their renovations have reached completion.
On Wednesday, Sept. 10, they hosted a ceremony featuring a ribbon cutting, tour of the clinic, and multiple speeches from Marshfield system leaders alongside an appearance by Gov. Tony Evers. We spoke with Marshfield’s North Region Vice President of Operations and Patient Care Services Laurie McKuen, about the project and what it means to have it completed.
“When I hear the word resilient, I really think of our team here,” McKuen stated. The staff at the clinic had to work around construction schedules, even shifting departments to different sections to avoid stopping patient care while the project was underway.
Several speakers were also present at the event, including Evers and Park Falls mayor Tara Tervort
“Folks, it took a lot of collaboration, vision, and dedication to get to this point today and I’d like to congratulate all of the really important project partners who made this possible,” Evers stated.
